Position Summary:
Execute scan receiving procedures for all Non-Food Direct Store Delivery merchandise and verify receiving documents are reported correctly. Role model and demonstrate the Company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others.
Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.
Essential Job Functions:
- Model “Customer 1st” behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
- Perform scan receiving procedures for all Non-Food Direct Store Deliveries, verify receiving documents are reported correctly, and file in period/week file
- Process online returns to vendors
- Coordinate common carrier pickup delivery
- Operate forklift
- Create store-to-store and store-to-Distribution Center transfers
- Complete, distribute, and file all controlled documents
- Print and distribute all Magic and Report Management and Distribution System (RMDS) reports
- Acknowledge receipt of Warehouse Manifests and Store to Store transfers and file billing discrepancies electronically and research all outstanding documents
- Print and research the open invoice reports
- Audit store signing standards and checkstand books
- Assist the Customer Service Manager in researching any customer issues related to gift cards, Form 11 purchases, and Mid-West Payment System (MPS) transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom
- Promote and follow Company initiatives
- Maintain compliance with shrink control guidelines
- Process all salvage, including photo
- Serve as back-up to the Home sales floor
- Assist with the Merchandise Pick Up (MPU) process
- Mix paint and cut keys
- Cashier when required

Minimum Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of six months Fred Meyer experience and one year in a key position such as Price Changer, Garden Center Section Head, PIC, Customer Service
Desk person, or receiving experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to pass drug test
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work weekends on a regular basis, work any shift, and overtime as needed
- Maintain confidentiality
- Accuracy/attention to detail
- Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
- Familiarity with industry/technical terms/processes
- Ability to work within set time frames/fixed deadlines
- Fred Meyer lift truck certification/license
