CSE is part of the College of Engineering (CoE) at UTA, one of the largest engineering colleges in Texas (https://www.uta.edu/engineering). Active research areas include data sciences; databases/big data; data mining/machine learning; cloud computing; networks; mobile and pervasive computing; IoT; computer vision; security and privacy; bioinformatics and biomedical computing; robotics; and artificial intelligence applications. CSE faculty members actively pursue collaborations and funding opportunities. The department has interdisciplinary projects with UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, University of North Texas Health Science Center in Ft. Worth, UT Arlington’s Research Institute (UTARI), the School of Nursing, and the College of Science, among others.
The CSE department has been growing rapidly in the last 10 years. Our Fall 2021 enrollment reached a record number of 3000+ students, including approximately 1900 BS, 950 MS, and 150 PhD students. Job Summary
The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) invites applications for two full-time NTT (teaching) faculty positions in its Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department (http://www.cse.uta.edu). These openings are for positions that start in the Spring 2022 semester. These NTT positions can be at the ranks of lecturer or senior lecturer; or assistant/associate/full professor of instruction. The successful candidates are expected to have strong teaching and communication skills, and should have the technical capabilities and knowledge to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in one or more specialization areas of computer science, software engineering, or computer engineering. For these two opening, preference will be given to qualified applicants who can teach classes in one or more of the following areas: software engineering; introductory programming; algorithms/theory; computer engineering; data sciences; and AI/machine learning. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. We will accept applications until all positions are filled, but priority will be given to candidates who apply before October 21, 2021.
