POSITION SUMMARYReports To:Unit ManagerSummary:Employee is primarily responsible for assisting RNs, LPNs, and Physicians with care of the patients. The employee should be able to think and react quickly in critical situations. The employee performs the duties assigned using methods and procedures included in their certification curriculum along with following policies and procedures established by the hospital’s administrative staff. The patient population includes patients from infancy to geriatrics who present with either medical or post-surgical problems. The Nursing Assistant must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, appropriate to the age of the patients on their assigned unit.Work Schedule:Must be able to work non-standard hours, including weekends, holidays. Must have the ability to float to other nursing units.

SKILLS & ABILITIESEducationHigh School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)ExperienceSix months to one year related experienceComputer SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.Certificates & LicensesCompletion of a CNA program and BLS required.Other RequirementsAbility to multitask.
