JOB SUMMARY

Assists with the operations of the Nursing Home UPL Program. Gathers and reports quality and safety indicators, obtains all regulatory compliance data and documentation, and creates reports for management and Board review. Travel to Nursing home sites for meetings is required. Position reports to Nursing Home Administrative Director. Exempt position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assists with reporting processes for A/R, quality, census and other safety and regulatory requirements for each nursing home.

Gathers statistical information for reporting as requested by director.

Performs monthly onsite and virtual visits to nursing homes as assigned and required.

Performs monthly review/audit of quality metrics for each nursing facility.

Maintains positive communication and relationships between nursing home facility administrators, nursing Administrative Director, and UMH senior leadership and finance department.

Reviews contracts and understands management, lease, and other contracts between nursing facility and UMH.

Assists director with summarized reports for all nursing facilities as requested.

Assists with maintaining files for ownership transactions in collaboration with Director.

Assists with maintaining files on nursing home specific MCO agreements.

Immediately notify director of any nursing home specific concerns or potential Public Relations issues.

Assists accounting and administration departments with tasks, duties, and projects as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

High School graduate or GED required.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Current Nursing Facility Administrator license in Texas or nurse (LVN or RN) with MDS experience preferred.

Required Skills

Must be able to travel 4-8 hours per day, 2-4 days per week.

Must possess superior ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service.

Must possess high degree of organization and be able to multi-task efficiently and effectively.

Advanced computer knowledge required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS

Functional Job Requirements:

Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing. Pushing and pulling equipment may be necessary.

Lifting Requirements

Job requires light lifting on an occasional basis.
