This position is subject to the COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for Steward Health Care Workforce. Employees in this position will be required to provide adequate proof of vaccination for COVID-19 by an FDA-approved vaccine prior to starting work. Steward will consider requests for exemptions from this vaccine requirement based on medical condition or sincerely held religious belief in accordance with applicable Federal laws.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Nurse Tech delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the Nurse Tech assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the Nurse Tech’s skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The Nurse Tech is currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing and can perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Required to be currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of nursing. 1+ years of nursing school completed preferred.
• Previous experience in hospital/nursing home patient care setting preferred.
