Job Summary
This full or part-time non-exempt position is responsible to the Director of Rehabilitation. As a member of the Rehabilitation department, this position is responsible for the provision of Occupational therapy treatments in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Specific duties may include hand rehab, and/or hospital-based therapy. Pediatric Occupational Therapists: Specific duties may include OT treatment for developmental delays and disorders of children from one year through 13 yrs of age including children along the Autism Spectrum Disorder, CP, Down's Syndrome, Sensory Integration Disorder/concerns and other delays and disorders as presented. Median age approximately 7-10 yrs of age. Individual and co-treats with ST and PT. Essential Functions
Coordinates patient care with the appropriate services. Performs a complete assessment. Documents correctly in the medical record and field chart. Identifies and acts appropriately in code situations. Teaches patients in identified areas of need and evaluates response. Operates treatment devices appropriately. Applies professional skills to patient care; communicates and follows through on the treatment plan. Complies with all SRH policies and procedures.

Education
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy. Skagit Valley Hospital is a DNV certified Primary Stroke Center. Required to complete 4 hours of stroke education annually.

Experience/Training
Previous experience working in an outpatient hand clinic, acute hospital, and/or nursing home is recommended. Pediatric Occupational Therapists: Minimum of one year previous experience working with pediatric in schools, or clinic setting.

License/Certification
Must be currently licensed or eligible for licensure, prior to hire date, in the state of Washington. Must obtain active and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license within 6 months of hire.

Other Qualifications
Must have skills and ability for providing, acute based hospital O.T. care. Experience in outpatient hand rehab is preferred. Pediatric Occupational Therapists: Must have skills and ability for providing pediatric O.T. care.
