We are currently interviewing for Office Assistant in Berlin, CT.
  • Hours: 8 am – 4:30 pm Monday - Friday

In this role you will manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines in a busy plant office. This position will be responsible for assisting with front office duties while supporting and reporting to the Office Manager. In addition you will:
  • All office functions such as accounts payable, receivables, scanning, and filing.
  • Generate customer invoices on a daily basis and assist customers with pricing issues.
  • Answers phones, direct calls or trouble shoot to meet our customer’s needs.
  • Assist with Human Resources and Payroll functions as needed.
  • Handle mail, emails, greet our customers and guests with a fabulous smile.
  • Attends Safety meetings and transcribes notes accordingly.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
  • This position will allow for cross training and development of additional skills.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
  • Education – High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three-years general office and accounting experience.
  • Must have basic knowledge by experience or training of general accounting procedures and accounting applications.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and effectively communicate the English language.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required.
The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following:
  • Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time (at desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment.
  • Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
  • Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
  • Ability to lift 25-30 lbs.
  • May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
  • Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
  • Ability to hear in person and via phone.
