OFFICE CLERK (NON-EXEMPT)

The position is located in our Memphis Warehouse location to support that user group and will report to our Customer Order Flow Manager.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Upon receipt of orders, updates and edits pick list information in AS400 and, when applicable, on the customer’s website
  • Prepares orders by ship date, destination, and purchase order type. Prints labels and matches with orders. Evaluates stock issues and then groups orders logically to disperse to Order Picking Department
  • Analyzes purchase orders to obtain correct routing then books shipments; monitors all facets of the shipping process
  • Receives orders from multiple websites and downloads into company batch order processing system
  • Batches orders, prints picking tickets, prints labels and matches with orders
  • Handles customer charges by processing payments using customer credit cards
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime hours as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One (1) to three (3) years of related experience and/or training


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent computer proficiency, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong attention to detail with proactive mentality
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Prior experience using MAPICS or other AS400 based software is a plus
  • 10-key experience is a plus


Level of Responsibility:

Interacts regularly and follows up with internal and external parties based on direction of management; presents information for decision making to manager and requires ability to independently manage their own daily tasks and projects as assigned by management.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not supervise employees.
