Golden State Dermatology is a leading and comprehensive dermatology group with 23 locations and 50 providers. Our services include dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, Mohs surgery for skin cancer, pathology, and plastic surgery.
Our plastic surgery office in Walnut Creek is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our team. This individual should have at least 1 year medical administration experience.
The Front Office/Medical Receptionist duties will include, but not limited to;
- Opening or closing the office on time
- Answering busy phone calls
- Scheduling patients for in office medical appointments/ in office procedures and surgeries.
- check benefits and eligibility
- Collect Copay/ Co-Insurance payments/ account balances
- Chart prepping for next clinic day
- Product education for patients
- Assist in all front office needs including but not limited to inventory management, and office supplies.
DESIRED:
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Experience in plastic surgery and/or dermatology
- Professional appearance, punctual, reliable
- Hard-working, effective multi-tasker, team-player
- Accommodating, problem-solver
- Great at sales, management of daily operational flow
- Experience with EMR and EHR, preferably EMA and ECW
- Basic understanding of medical terms and processes, including HIPAA regulations, insurance registration, etc

This is a full time position. Candidates must be able to work hours scheduled, with some early shifts and some late shifts. Office hours 7AM-6PM
