POSITION SUMMARY:
The USF College of Nursing is seeking full-time tenure-track/tenured faculty members eligible for the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor able to mentor pre and post-doctoral fellows/students and junior faculty (as appropriate); teach courses; serve on college and university committees; actively participate in local, state, and national professional engagement.

We seek scientists committed to conducting trailblazing research in one or more of the following areas: data systems science , health determinants science, implementation science and precision science with an overarching theme of achieving health equity. We are especially interested in candidates whose work relates to aging, cancer control, sleep medicine, or HIV prevention and/or treatment, or those whose research may intersect with these topics. Applicants with especially stellar achievements may qualify for named professorships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research/Scholarship: Collaborate to contribute to the scientific knowledge base through original research, publications, presentations, and mentorship. Develop an independent program of research and/or maintain a focused, extramurally funded program of research as principal investigator. Serve as academic advisor and mentor to pre and postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty as appropriate.

Instructional: Engage in innovative pedagogy through developing and teaching undergraduate and/or graduate level nursing courses. May supervise graduate teaching assistants, and advise nursing students.

Service: Engage in service activities at the university, college, professional and community levels, including serving on faculty governance committees and special work groups. Provide professional leadership within regional, local, national, and international nursing and multidisciplinary groups.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of a master's in nursing; be eligible to practice and maintain licensure as an RN in the State of Florida. Will have produced professional writing or research in refereed journals, books, and other creative works.
For associate professor Evidence of extra-mural funding. For full professor: Evidence of sustained extra-mural funding.
