About us

Dash Express, a leading delivery provider of Critical Parts and Medical Delivery Services is seeking an Operations Agent to co-manage our 24/7 critical delivery operation. This position would be working out of our Duluth Terminal, managing all aspects of operations, as well as coordinating with our Twin Cities terminal on shared shipments.

The Operation Agents position is very “Customer-Centric” role that involves cultivating customer relationships while co-managing operations, drivers and delivery schedules. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter, approachable, and professional with excellent communication, administrative skills, diligence, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Strengthening relationships with key customers and cultivating new prospects into long-term Dash Express customers
• Scheduling regular in-person, Zoom or phone meetings with existing customers to address any potential needs or concerns
• Weekly rotation answering phones after normal business hours & dispatching live orders to on-call drivers
• Keeping track of inventory and performing monthly cycle-counts
• Assisting with all shipping/receiving processes.
• Routing/Dispatching driver routes utilizing our advanced “State-of-the-Art” technology platform
• Evaluating driver KPI’s and addressing all metrics that fall short of customer standards
• Enforcing safety measures, keeping our warehouse atmosphere and truck yard clean & OSHA compliant
• Working in tandem with HR when additional staff is needed to cover new or existing business
• Comply with state laws, DOT regulations, TSA guidelines, OSHA regulations with the goal of safety in all circumstances

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Client Relations, Administrative or Business Development
• Proven track-record of meeting and exceeding company targets and goals
• Background in Customer Service; knowledge of transportation/logistics a plus
• Proficient in MS applications
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Problem-solving aptitude with a positive attitude
• Demonstrate the ability to lead and manage staff

Physical Demands and Abilities:

Regularly required to lift and/or move objects up to 200+ lbs. Some objects are much heavier and require the use of materials handling equipment.

Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, stoop and crouch.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

About our Company:

Dash Express, LLC was founded as a private, family-owned company located in 2000. The company initially provided general courier services to local businesses focusing on “The Customer Experience”. As word of mouth spread in the community, Dash Express began to expand operations through out MN, ND, SD, IA, WI, MI, NE, MT and was one of the original companies to offer “White Glove Delivery”. Today, Dash Express concentrates all of its shipments through company-owned terminals located in Minneapolis MN & Duluth MN, as well as agent-managed terminals located throughout the United States. Our primary customers reside in the medical and e-commerce industries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
