Ballard Spahr, a national law firm with 15 offices across the country, has an exciting opportunity available in our Denver, CO office. Under the direction of the Director of Office Administration, the Operations Coordinator will provide a broad variety of administrative assistance to ensure effective day-to-day office operations and to support office initiatives, policies, and events. The individual in this role will be relied upon to perform tasks in multiple areas, including but not limited to accounting, general office operations, facilities, marketing, onboarding/off boarding, emergency processes, and other tasks. The individual will need to interact effectively, courteously and professionally with attorneys, staff and external contacts.

The ideal candidate will be an agile, self-motivated and a highly collaborative team member. Individuals in this position require a broad range of strong technical and administrative skills, including the ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision, problem solve effectively, and exercise initiative and judgment to make reasonable decisions within the scope of their assigned authority.
The selected individual must possess strong time management, organizational, communication and diplomacy skills to handle administrative tasks with keen attention to detail.
Required Experience
Requirements include a minimum of 3 years' of progressive experience working in an administrative, operational or human resources role. A Bachelor's degree and experience in a law firm or similar professional services setting is strongly preferred. This position requires a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Prior experience with a document management system, a plus. Flexibility to work occasional overtime, when necessary. This position will primarily be in our Denver office, with rare work in Boulder. A significant portion of the work requires onsite presence, especially when the DoA is not onsite. However, remote work of 1 or 2 days per week may be possible after successful integration into the role.

Time worked in excess of 40 hours per week will be paid at time and one-half of the hourly rate. The salary range for this position is from $50,000 - $75,000 depending upon experience.
