2nd Shift and 3rd Shift positions available.

Summary of Position:

AEL-SPAN, a Walker SCM company, is responsible for providing inbound-to-plant logistics services Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant.

The Operations Coordinator (Sequencing Department) is responsible for the accurate and timely picking/sequencing of materials. We are looking for the right person who shares our philosophy of Operational Excellence on a daily basis. AEL-SPAN’s primary objective is to deliver the right part, to the right place, at the right time.

Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure all orders are sequenced in a timely and accurate manner.
• Locate parts, including received parts, put-away parts, and parts that are not yet received.
• Coordinate sequencing team members and activities.
• Communicate closely with the admin team regarding any operations concerns.
• Proactively communicate and escalate any ‘defects’ and other situations in the warehouse that could potentially have minor or major impacts.
• Prepare and send out daily/weekly/monthly KPI tracking.
• Check customer portals and enter data as needed.
• Manage inventory accuracy at the highest levels.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledgeable of 5S and Lean Manufacturing Principles.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
• Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; experienced and well-spoken in front of customers and large groups.
• Ability to deal with and communicate effectively with a diverse team of individuals from various backgrounds, at all organizational levels.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, or GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, is required
• Ability to understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace; read, understand, and communicate all safety requirements and cautions, as well as all operational procedures
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English
• Must have the ability to lift up to 35lbs
