Operations Manager Job Description

This is a full time position. Our organization is looking for a true leader. Someone who has unique experience and skills that is looking to forward their career. The mission: to take our already “best in class” team from a 2M operation to 5M operation. This challenge to scale is something that will take 2 to 4 years at a minimum and we are looking for someone who will remain committed to the position for that length of time.

Strong communication skills are needed in order to be successful in this position. Candidates will be required to communicate information accurately via email, verbally, and through our CRM to help facilitate daily operations. In this role Candidates will be expected to manage 2 to 5 direct reports who drive the day to day - this includes managing :

The Team - 35+ Drivers, Foreman, Helpers

The Fleet - 20+ Trucks - 12ft, 16ft, 24ft, 26ft Straight Trucks (diesel and gas)

Moving Projects - 10 to 20 daily projects/day

Candidates must :

• Be passionate about solving problems - for our clients, the organization, your teammates, yourself
• Be willing to work weekends. That is our busiest time of service. Peak season = March to October
• Represent our organization in a positive and professional manner
• Learn our CRM and KPI expectations to drive operational excellence.
• Provide leadership and guidance on day-to-day decision making for both mid-level management and individual crews running projects.
• Facilitate interviews and on-boarding for the operations department, which includes dispatchers, closers, drivers and movers, etc.

Additional expectations:

• Work with all personnel to satisfy clients and achieve company goals
• Maintain a complete understanding of all of 6th Man Mover’s products, services, pricing, and promotions
• Hold mid-level management team accountable to respective roles and responsibilities
• Enter data accurately in our CRM and be responsible for a specific set of KPIs
• Monitor all daily tasks to be completed by the operations team
• Oversee dispatch managers and process to ensure successful arrival to all scheduled jobs
• Oversee closing out process to ensure appropriate labor allocations and billing was completed
• Communicate with customers who have any concerns regarding the service we are providing on the day of, or after completion of their moveHandle all damage claim and buyer’s remorse communications
• Promote a positive operational TEAM aspect at our business, while acting in a professional manner

Compensation:

o $50K to 60K annual base salary (based on experience), paid weekly

o Production Bonus Program (based on milestones, revenue, Gross Profit Margin; value of $10-$25K annually). Some bonuses are paid out monthly and some quarterly

o Medical stipend paid monthly ($5,400 annually)

• 14 paid vacation days, per year

• 3 paid sick days, per year

• 8 paid holidays, per year

Office space to report to is in Berry Hill - 37211 (Middle of Nashville)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,695.00 - $69,672.00 per year
