Insight Global is searching for an Operations Manage for a global shipping and logistics company. This full-time position is for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. Position oversees two departments, Purchasing and Shipping/Logistics.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

• Oversees two small teams one in purchasing and one in shipping/logistics.
• Forecast and manage costs toensure purchase orders do not exceed budget.
• Approve and/or perform cost analysis for all potential orders.
• Develop approved selling margins for clients in the United States, Canada & Europe.
• Negotiate materials costs with vendors in various countries including India, China & Malaysia.
• Approve and/or create quotes and purchase orders.
• Negotiate freight and trucking costs with our existing partners and bring in potential new partners when possible or if necessary.
• Approve freight and trucking budgets for all orders.
• Approve all incoming invoices from various parties including vendors, freight forwarders, truckers & brokers.
• Approve all outgoing invoices to our clients.
• Meet regularly over the phone with our quality control team in India to discuss vendor production capacities and any potential production and/or shipping delays.
• Speak with overseas vendors to ensure timely delivery to clients.
• Provide weekly reports directly to CEO.
• Deal with complex situations as they arise in a timely manner and find solutions to problems as they occur along with ability to foresee potential issues that may impact the future.

REQUIREMENTS

• High level organization skills
• Communication & interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Proficiency in math and budgeting
• Time management & ability to multitask

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED)

• College degree
• Previous management experience
• Previous experience in cost analysis
• Knowledge of shipping & logistics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
