Talk is the team within Spotify responsible for building the best tools for audio creators. We have three platforms that help us deliver a great creator experience: Anchor (the platform that allows you to create, distribute, monetize, and grow a podcast, all for free), Spotify for Podcasters (the platform that makes it easy to understand and engage with your listeners on Spotify, and Spotify Live (the platform that allows anyone to stream or listen to live audio).

What you'll do:

  • Serve as Policy lead for the team, where you’ll research, draft, implement, analyze, and iterate on our product policies to ensure they can be implemented consistently & scaled effectively
  • Act as POC on high-profile and/or time-sensitive investigations into potential policy violations and content takedowns
  • Assist teams in the discovery and evangelism of standard methodologies in the operational process and bring learning opportunities
  • Provide policy support for Talk Mission teams, working with Creator Relations, Trust & Safety, Legal, Customer Support, and R&D on cross-functional initiatives and new product launches
  • Track and communicate the progress of work, turning points, and blockers in an organized and easily shareable way
  • Understand at a high level operational and legal challenges and considerations, and be able to explain them in a clear way
  • Drive decision-making as it relates to operational workflows and policies to ensure alignment across multiple members of the senior leadership team and other collaborators
  • Work alongside our customer support team to provide support related to creator operations & policy issues
  • Develop processes to improve organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and collaboration

Who you are:

  • 2+ years experience in operations strategy and planning; preferably in drafting and implementing policy or compliance
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask when needed
  • You have experience running and representing large, cross-functional programs and can easily & clearly communicate strategies, goals, and progress status
  • You have a proven track record of influencing and delivering without formal authority over the teams with whom you are working
  • You are a self-learner who loves solving new challenges
  • You’re comfortable balancing multiple concurrent projects in an agile, fast-paced, and international environment
