Order Puller Position Summary

At The Stow Company, Order Pullers are a key part of our dynamic and growing team! The Order Puller I position is an entry level position responsible for pulling, assembling, and packaging all components of customer orders. Warehouse background, such as experience with inventory systems and Hi-Lo’s, is a plus.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED a plus
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Be willing and able to follow all company policies
• Actively participates in all team meetings and events
• Able to work safely and steadily in one location for up to 12 hours
• Meets productivity, quality and safety goals
• Follows directions and completes paperwork correctly and neatly
• Willing to learn new skills and train in all areas of the work cell

Order Puller Essential Functions

• Complete required quality checks
• Meet required pick rate for order pulling
• Ensures that all part numbers are picked accurately for customer orders
• Ensures that product is stacked, packed, or otherwise packaged in a neat and organized fashion with proper packaging materials utilized for reducing opportunity of shipping damage
• Drives Hi-Lo around warehouse locations to reduce walk time with product

Order Puller Position Qualifications

• Demonstrates a strong attention to detail
• Ability to tolerate an environment where sawdust particles are present
• This position requires some kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching and stretching as well as handling boards of varying sizes
• Able to lift, push, and pull boards of varying shapes and sizes up to 75 pounds independently and multiple times daily
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand for up to 12 hours
• Able to walk and stand for the up to 12 hour work shifts
• Able to get on and off a fork lift for up to 12 hour work shifts
• Able to comfortably kneel, bend, crouch, reach, and stretch
• Possesses strong visual acuity
• Possesses strong manual dexterity
• Able to provide and receive communication in an environment with a high level of ambient noise
• Must have a basic understanding of hand-held scanners and shipping paperwork
• Must obtain a Stow Company fork lift license and maintain fork lift when driving
• Willing to learn all roles within the shipping department and be a team player
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable – comfortable in a dynamic work environment
• Follows directions and completes paperwork correctly and neatly

Order Puller Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM

The Stow Company may temporarily assign any team member with duties outside of their normal responsibilities. Such assignments may be warranted due to a variety of specific requirements, conditions and/or the capabilities of available personnel. Management will determine the nature and duration of those assignments.
