General Description of the position:

As a Facilities Coordinator of OSP Project Management Office – Clearwave Fiber, you will be managing multiple underground and aerial fiber and utility installation projects of various sizes and scopes of work across the Southeast and Midwest. This role will be responsible in planning, directing, and organizing day-to-day operations of all Huts and cabinets. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, knowledge of the telecom industry and fiber deployment.


THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION, HOWEVER THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE LOCATED IN ALABAMA, ARIZONA, FLORIDA, GEORGIA, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, KANSAS, KENTUCKY, MARYLAND, MISSOURI, NORTH CAROLINA, OHIO, SOUTH CAROLINA, TENNESSEE, TEXAS OR VIRGINIA.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize tools and best practices as set forth for project management and execution.
  • Open all projects, ensuring all projects are up to date and progressing and meeting forecasted dates.
  • Review daily reporting for accuracy and ensure facilities projects are progressing to meet timeframe.
  • Identify any risks and work with Facilities manager and Project manager mitigate to ensure no impact to overall project plan
  • Working with cross departments to obtain all projects specifications on all details of Hut/cabinet.
  • Identify locations for Huts and cabinets and work to secure Easement, lease agreement or purchase of land for the hut or cabinet.
  • Work with outside vendors for procurement, placement, and powering of Hut/cabinet
  • Ability to support a fast paced, demanding work schedule; schedule could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, etc.
  • Ability to be challenged, take constructive feedback, and handle a high level of stressful situations in a professional way

Requirements:

Qualifications & Minimum Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years telecommunications or related experience and 3+ years supervisory experience in related field
  • 2 years’ experience managing multiple fiber installation construction projects within multiple markets.
  • Ability to travel to various markets for location selection and turnup of Hut/Cabinet
  • Capital budget management experience.
  • Experience with workflows and/or facilities management, including progressive levels of responsibility developing workflows and project timelines and prioritizing actions through to completion
  • Experience working collaboratively, including collaboration within a team, cross-functionally across various projects, and with stakeholder groups of varying sizes
  • Ability to present written and oral messages effectively to accomplish project goals
  • Organizational skills, including the organization, management, and tracking of multiple projects with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to focus on results, including a demonstrated ability to be proactive, results-driven, and a self-starter with a high degree of professionalism in a professional environment
  • Attention to detail, including the ability to work accurately with attention to detail on workflows, messaging, and written communication
  • Technical skills and tools, including actively seeking training and tools to improve project management and workflow
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
  • A high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated, goal- oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals
  • Ability to be organized, problem solve, and be solution oriented
