Description:

• Aerotek is looking for a 1st Class Outside Machinist who has an active secret security clearance or have had one in the last 24 months.
• Responsible for the overhaul and repairing of pumps, motors, valves and other auxiliary equipment.
• Former Machinist Mate, Engineman, Outside machinists.
• Open, inspect, and repair work on components of marine sea water, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Perform repair and restoration work on propulsion shaft, shaft couplings, or vibration reducers.
• Remove, inspect, and repair various fairwater, stern plane, and/or steering & diving system components.
• Remove, inspect, and repair various components (periscope, masts, and antennas) of submarine sail.
• Repairing and overhaul of ship’s weapons and ordinance systems (e.g. torpedo tubes, launchers and weapons handling equipment).
• Install and repair foundations for operating machinery and principal structures/components.
