Majestic Steel USA (Majestic) is excited to add a Outside Processing Manager to our supply team working remote! The Outside Processing Manager oversees a team of associates that handles production and warehousing at external locations. Works closely with sales, procurement, and operations ensuring orders are processed and delivered on-time, while also coordinating movement of material from storage to internal locations.

What you will do

  • Create and implement outside storage, processing, and value-add services strategies that align with company goals.
  • Analyze opportunities and offer solutions to enhance supply chain through cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with sales to offer single invoice solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with outside locations, both processing and storage.
  • Coordinate on-boarding of new processing and warehousing locations.
  • Lead Outside Processing team to success through metric driven performance tracking.
  • Evaluate current Outside Processing structure and management to drive efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with inventory planning to align on storage and processing needs, pre-season and in-season.
  • Coordinate imported steel offloading and storage with Purchasing and Transportation teams.
  • Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Who you are

Education, Training and Experience Requirements

  • Technologically savvy with experience in MS Office products and Windows-based computer applications.
  • 3-5 years manufacturing industry experience.
  • 3-5 years materials planning/scheduling and inventory management experience with 1-3 years management experience.
  • Significant knowledge in ERP systems and practical use for planning functions.
  • 5 plus years Steel industry experience, preferably in a service center or processing environment. (Preferred)
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Business Management, Engineering or Supply Chain Management. (Preferred)
  • Certifications in CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professional), APICS (American Production and Inventory Society) or PMP (Project Management Professional). (Preferred)

  • Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret information, and develop, recommend, and implement solutions.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate associate performance, establish work priorities, delegate tasks, and train associates in proper policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Business management and leadership skills with proven ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Exercise supervision over Outside Processing Coordinators.
  • Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively from a home office setting.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally and work at an outside location.
