Pacific Care Pet ER and Specialty is seeking new, energetic team members to join our crew! This is a great position for someone who thrives working at night and loves to have a work/ life balance of only working 3 days each week!

The open position is for an Overnight tech/assistant that will work (3) -12hr shifts.

RVT preferred, but not required with experience; Must be willing to work at least one weekend night, Saturday or Sunday.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Helping maintain the flow of patients

· Punctuality

· Communicating with the veterinarian and team

· Adhering to hospital standards

· Maintaining medical records

· Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging

· Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets

· Performance development plans designed to help you reach your established careers goals

· Knowledge of blood transfusions and crossmatching (training provided)

· Knowledge of scoping procedures including upper/ lower GI, Cystoscopy, bronchoscopy (training provided)

· Knowledge of the chronic disease processes associated with an internal medicine practice including IBD, Diabetes, Cushings, etc

· Advanced knowledge of monitoring anesthesia on a chronically ill patient

· Ability to communicate with clients and educate them on the doctor’s recommendations for their pet
