Summary
The Packaging Mechanic diagnoses packaging equipment problems, repairs minor and major breakdown of high-speed packaging equipment, sets up and installs all packaging equipment, performs preventive maintenance items, improves line efficiencies, and ensures all equipment is in safe working condition.
Key Responsibilities
Typical Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Relevant Experience
- 3+ years related experience and/or training
Required Certifications
Other Information
- Good knowledge of Computer Systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical, pneumac, hydraulic, electrical and electronic Systems.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks, be flexible and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments.
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and exercise good judgment.
