Job description

Scaletta Armoring, an automotive remanufacturer located in Bedford Park, IL has an immediate need for Paint Prep Technicians.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identifying and reporting any nonconformance
• Comply with the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2008 standard, the quality policy and related procedures
• Body preparation, priming, rough paint
• Perform needed body work to include use of body filler for repairs
• Prepare vehicles for painting to include cleaning, sanding and priming
• Wet, sand and buff finished vehicle
• Ensure proper maintenance of booth
• Ensure proper usage and storage of painting products
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Experience

Required Skills and Abilities

• Previous related experience or technical training
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, spec sheet and paint manufacturer requirements

Preferred skills:

• PPG Experience
