Working Hours: M-F 7:00am-3:30pm and work as needed
Summary:
This position is responsible for preparing surfaces using spray gun and surface preparation equipment. This position is also responsible for using various products to finish/repair woodwork, chairs, desks, cabinets, furniture, book shelves and doors. Additionally this position repairs vinyl wall coverings, cove base, plaster, dry wall, VC tile, concrete masonry units.
Other information:
Education - High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred. Experience - Six years experience in painting and finishing of mill work, walls, doors, cabinets, desks and shelving. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Familiar with safety procedures and training in safe operation of painting and surface preparation equipment and the handling of painting related chemicals, such as paints, stains and solvents. Ability to prep using spray gun and surface preparation equipment. Ability to use various products to finish/repair woodwork, chairs, desks, cabinets, furniture, book shelves, doors, vinyl wall coverings, cove base, plaster, dry wall, VC tile, concrete masonry units. Ability to provide legible, detailed and accurate information on work orders/preventative maintenance forms.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
