Facility Contract Services is a Florida based contract services company, responsible for the employment and management of personnel for municipal clients. Facility Contract Services is currently seeking dynamic and goal-driven employees for the City of Pembroke Pines Charter Schools System. This exciting opportunity in the City of Pembroke Pines operates Monday to Friday School Day Hours (School Based) and offers excellent compensation and benefits including health insurance and 401(k) with a Company match.
Job Summary
Under general supervision, will assist the School Nurse and School Administration with medical issues as well as assist in the implementation of COVID19 protocols.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Provide assistance to the school Nurse as requested/required.
· Monitor students in the “isolation room”.
· Perform and process COVID19 tests.
· Assess and provide basic first aid & BLS as necessary.
· Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all related laws.
· Contact parents as requested.
· Assist students with proper administration of prescribed medications.
· Recognize medical emergencies and activate EMS when indicated.
· Comply with law regarding suspected child abuse.
· Actively participate as a member of school(s) disaster preparedness team.
· Ability to demonstrate respect for children, teenagers, and adults.
· Competence to accurately record, transfer, and relate information.
· Capability to present information in an organized manner.
· Other duties are assigned by Coordinator or Health Services and/or Deputy Superintendent.
Knowledge, Skills, Education, Licensure/Certifications and Abilities Required:
· Ability to remain calm in an emergency.
· Ability to follow directions and procedures.
· Skill to make independent, immediate decisions.
· Skill to demonstrate active and reflective listening skills.
· Maintains current Paramedic license and AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
· Obtain PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification within 3 months of hire date.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Paramedic School Graduate.
· Minimum of one year experienced preferred.
