LSSI is seeking a full-time Parenting Educator, Monday through Friday. Under the general supervision of the program director or designee, perform a variety of social work, group and outreach activities to individuals and families.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform all tasks as required in the written plan.
  • Meet productivity requirements as established by the program director or designee.
  • Provide client monitoring and linkage to appropriate services both within LSSI and other community agencies.
  • Complete and submit all necessary reports, billing, and documentation accurately and on time as required by agency and funding sources.
  • Communicate with supervisor, work group and collateral agencies regarding individual's and /or family's status.
  • Transport clients as needed.
  • Work in collaboration with the network management team and/or other intra-agency entities on programmatic, fiscal, community and organizational issues.
  • Commit to and actively participate in continuous improvement process.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in the agency's service population.
  • Perform other related tasks as necessary or as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of child development and parenting or equivalent life experience may be required or preferred in such networks.
  • Age requirement may apply.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear, comprehensible manner.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance may be required.
