Job Description

Position Summary

The Parking Garage Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating and maintaining the operations of The Westland Avenue Garage [a 6-storey parking garage located at 15-35 Westland Avenue] and the Church Park Garage [located at 189-277 Massachusetts Avenue] and administering the parking facility in an efficient and courteous manner.

The Parking Garage Manager monitors all internal and external issues that affect Church Park Apartments. The Parking Garage Manager assists customers with parking questions, problems and complaints in a manner that is both professional and fair to all parties. The Parking Garage Manager is responsible for marketing the parking facilities with the goal of optimizing parking income. The Parking Garage Manager oversees the Parking Garage Attendant and Grounds Maintenance Cleaning staff including the hiring, training and scheduling of this staff. The Parking Garage Manager also serves as liaison to the retail tenant store manager (Whole Foods).

Essential Job Functions

DAILY (80%):

  • Manage, implement and supervise all daily parking operations.
  • Up-keep and maintenance of the facility.
  • Meet with staff to ensure quality communication and provide technical assistance and work direction to support personnel.
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner in order to provide maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate garage attendant staff.
  • Balance accounts and assists in preparing reports and statements.
  • Assist in setup of special event parking programs.
  • Administer and maintain lease parking program and paperwork for new and vacating customers.
  • Daily walk-thru of Church Park and Westland Avenue garages and record vehicle count.
  • Assist in collecting, recording and depositing revenues received at the facility.
  • Complete manual reconciliation of three shifts and input on computer.
  • Administer parking lease applications; issue parking passes and stickers; set up ACH accounts or credit card payments.
  • Coordinate all schedules, special event, vacation and sick day coverage.
  • Order supplies, parking passes, uniforms etc.
  • Manage special projects as assigned or required.
  • Perform activities, functions and related tasks and duties as required by Property Manager.

MONTHLY (20%):

  • Process all credit card transactions and reconcile report.
  • Invoice all master accounts for upcoming month (mid-month).
  • Invoice Furnished Quarters for upcoming month (mid-month).
  • Complete monthly card reconciliations for WAG and CPG. Update spreadsheet.
  • De-activate all parkers cancelling at end of month. Complete paperwork.
  • Update database of all parkers to include sticker number and vehicle information.
  • Update parking manual as necessary.
  • Review statements at beginning of each month.

Education

This position requires a(n) Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree.

Work Experience

Below is the required/preferred work experience for this position:
