Job description

The Payroll Clerk processes employees' paychecks by collecting timesheets and other payroll-related information, verifying accuracy against current policies, and entering all data into the payroll system. Additional duties include maintaining employee records, generating management reports, tracking benefit eligibility, and assisting employees with timeclock or prior period corrections.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

• Processes bi-weekly payroll by collecting, calculating, and entering hours and earnings into ADP
• Updates payroll records by entering changes in withholdings, voluntary deductions, direct deposit, job titles, departments, and employee personal information
• Tracks and updates employee records based on eligibility for benefits, including medical, dental, life, 401k, and PTO
• Prepares reports or other payroll information as requested by employees or management
• Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Maintains payroll operations in accordance with policies and procedures
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• 1+ years of payroll processing experience
• Data entry skills
• Basic math skills (10 key)
• Microsoft Excel
• Confidentiality
• Attention to detail
• Excellent time-management, priority setting, and organizational skills
• Effective communication, both verbal and written
• Team player

Preferred:

• Experience with ADP
• Experience in the healthcare field
