Job description
The Part-Time Events and Activities Coordinator provides support to the administrative operations of the department.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates and assists with planning, preparation, implementation, and setup of events being offered by the Department
- Serves as the contact person with outside agencies and vendors coming on campus
- Reviews completed paperwork and follow-ups to assure events are set-up on time
- Coordinates and schedules vendor/performer visits, and processes all necessary paperwork to adhere to college policy
- Provides guidance to student assistants
- Maintains office storage inventory for events and programs
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience working with students, organizations and planning events
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
- Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office , Adobe Photoshop, and database applications
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Possess excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
- Ability to deal effectively with the students, faculty and staff
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and work well under limited time constraints
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
