Primary Responsibilities

  • Create customized point of sale such as menus, table tents, flyers and posters as requested by sales representatives, sales managers in the St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, Cape Girardeau, and Columbia locations
  • Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon available space and aesthetic design concepts
  • Preparing digital files for printing on a small and large format printer
  • Operates small and large format printers and the various print material used on the small and large format printers
  • Assist in the order entry of graphic jobs through a tracking software
  • Responsible for tracking brands appearing on printed materials through the use of a tracking software
  • Coordinates with outside print and menu vendors on special job requests
  • Trimming and finishing point of sale such as banners, posters and table tents
  • Design presentation materials as requested
  • Juggle multiple responsibilities, prioritize, and meet all assigned deadlines
  • Work closely with design team to ensure that all schedule requirements are met
  • Know, understand, and abide by all Federal and State laws pertaining to alcoholic beverages
  • Understand and comply with all State and Federal regulations regarding the sale and promotion of assigned products
  • Attend, participate, and complete all company regulatory and required trainings
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Essential Characteristics

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate and collaborate well with supervisors, employees, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside of the company; must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Consistent ability to prioritize responsibilities, working quickly, effectively and efficiently while both dealing with a variety of requests and maintaining a queue of several design jobs throughout the day.
  • Operates with a “service oriented” mindset when approaching responsibilities; demonstrates a high willingness to “assist” others regardless of their level in the organization or their personal skill set/competencies.
  • Must be open and flexible to changes, ideas and/or best practices from management and peers; utilization of a team approach in all aspects of performance is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of graphic designing software. Must have skills and abilities in the following areas: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Mac operating system.
  • Strong knowledge of color palettes and fonts, knowing how to use them properly.
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to work in an environment where speed and accuracy are key, being able to follow brand guidelines closely.
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs of large, rolled paper, and perform minor manual labor.

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in related field, or equivalent work experience required
  • 1-3 years of graphic designer experience
