Music School is looking to fill a teaching position. We teach students of all ages and levels. Various schedules are available, and most teaching occurs in afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

We are in need of a professional and reliable teacher who can teach voice, piano & guitar. Our teaching is set around personalized music instruction in a one-on-one setting.

Ideal Candidate:

2+ years’ teaching experience with a music degree

Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design

Strong communication skills and ability to deal well with a wide range of students and parents

Strong organizational skills

Very strong customer relations skills

Patient, encouraging, and positive demeanor

Must be able to work with kids ages 4 years old and up

Passion for teaching

Good time management skills with special attention to being punctual and reliable

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Teacher responsible for all music and education-related elements within the lessons

Teacher creates a well-rounded and dynamic lesson experience to ensure their students are engaged, challenged, and inspired

Teacher is to ensure students are learning the fundamentals of (theory and practical) music, not just songs

Teacher is to create and document thoughtful lesson plans, using lessons books or other

Teacher is to communicate regularly with parents on the progress of students after lessons

Teacher is to keep management apprised of any students missing from their lessons or showing poor attendance.

Lesson practice game used with students as applicable

Professionalism in all areas including dress, punctuality, organization, and communication

Ability to teach on a specific schedule each week without the need to reschedule regularly

Upbeat, outgoing, and encouraging, ability to think outside the box and be creative.

Teaching to start immediately. 12 Month Contract required. Part-time position
