Job description

Part-time experienced pharmacy technician (PTCB certified preferred) needed at MTSU Campus Pharmacy.

Applicant should be able to answer pharmacy phone calls, fill medication orders under the supervision of the pharmacist, process insurance claims, operate cash register, order and replace stock in the pharmacy and OTC area, operate drive-thru window, work with the pharmacy staff to keep the pharmacy clean and organized, and perform other related tasks as assigned.

Approximately 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters and occasional summer hours. Off all holidays and weekends.

MTSU Campus Pharmacy is a full-service retail pharmacy located on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. Our mission is to ensure delivery of affordable, accessible and efficient pharmacy services for MTSU students, faculty and staff. The pharmacy processes most insurance plans, offers vaccinations and has a thriving retail section. We are open Monday-Friday 8-5pm.

Who We Are Seeking

MTSU Campus Pharmacy is seeking a certified pharmacy technician with at least one year of retail pharmacy experience. Regularly scheduled 2-3 days per week during the fall and spring academic terms.

What You Will Do

As a pharmacy technician at MTSU Campus Pharmacy, you will perform such duties as (but not limited to)

· inventory management

· processing insurance for prescription claims including vaccines

· customer service in all aspects of retail pharmacy care

· maintaining a healthy environment with customers, co-workers, pharmacy students, and pharmacists

· working in conjunction with the providers and nursing staff of MTSU Health Services
