Part - Time - Remote / Work From Home - Medical Billing-Revenue Cycle - Appeals - RNA - Level II
Job Summary
Remote / Work From Home - Medical Billing-Revenue Cycle - Appeals - RNA - Level II is responsible for management of assigned accounts that may fall anywhere in the revenue cycle of the claim.
Essential Functions/Duties
- Examines the patient record and/or researches all avenues in order to gather information
- Supports process improvements to assure quality and timely documentation
- Follows billing process, makes necessary contacts to assure maximum reimbursement
- Works closely with all billing and support service groups
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Two years of experience in Healthcare/Revenue Cycle billing environment
- Must be willing to work in an outbound-call-center environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to communicate professionally both written and verbally
- Must have basic computer skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, Explorer (File Saving and Sharing)
- Demonstrated complex problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in required job skills and knowledge
Preferred Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
Skills:
- Ability to calculate numbers, correct entries, and post to records
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information
- Ability to prepare routine administrative work
- Records maintenance skills.

Conditions:
- Work in a team environment
- Utilize various software programs
- May be required to sit for long periods of time
Mental Demands:
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
