Key Responsibilities
Walk-in customer service
- Greet every customer as they enter the facility.
- Take orders.
- Ask for add on sales and make suggestions. Increase line item per invoice. (LIPI)
- Develop relationships with the service technicians.
- Process all returns daily.
- Process warranties daily.
Answer in-bound telephone calls
- Process will call orders.
- Technical questions.
- Price and availability quotations.
Keep assigned store area clean and organized
- Clear and clean shelves periodically.
- Create displays seasonally.
- Ensure building cleanliness.
Stock showroom
- Re-stock shelves from overstock area.
- Assist in stocking incoming product.
- Ensure daily facing and dusting of sales floor products.
Support technical and service questions
- Assist walk-in customers.
- Direct to appropriate Carrier West personnel, if you cannot provide solution.
- If possible, stay with the customer to gain the knowledge shared.
Develop new customers
- Encourage cash customers to set up an account.
- Track service technicians as they switch companies.
- Engage in conversations with the new customer to learn of business opportunities.
- Coordinate new customer opportunities with the equipment salesmen.
- If applicable, complete the account manager program as designed.
Increase personal technical knowledge
- Attend in store training.
- Complete FAP certification courses.
- Attend regional training.
- Attend CAD training.
- Complete AD classes, completion goals set by the manager.
- Complete Totaline/Carrier/Bryant University courses as needed.
- Attain 8 hours of training per month.
- Gain and share knowledge on the counter every day.
Complete Daily assigned tasks
- Special assignments.
- Assist in any warehouse transactions needed.
- Complete warranty and return transactions daily.
- Misc. duties as assigned by management.
- Complete all transactions for invoicing daily.
