Actively hiring Patient Registrars for a hospital's Emergency Department, specifically in Norwich and Plainfield, CT!

Schedule: 40 hour work weeks with shift times listed below:

  • 1st shift: 6:45 am- 3:15pm
  • 2nd shift: 3pm - 11:30pm
  • 3rd shift: 10:30p - 7:30 am
  • Mid-shift: 11 am - 7:30 pm

Requirements:

  • previous experience checking in patients in a high faced paced/stressful healthcare setting (working in an emergency room/urgent care etc)
  • previous insurance verification experience
  • previous healthcare customer service experience
  • GED/Highschool Diploma
  • COVID19 Vaccine
  • EPIC/EMR System Experience (preferred, not required)

Description:

Patient Access Representatives will be patient facing for registration for the outpatient Emergency Department. He/She will be responsible for guiding patients through the admissions process by screening patients for eligibility, preparing patient information for clinical staff, and answering patient questions. The role entails healthcare customer service skills, previous insurance verifications knowledge, familiarity with medical terminology and electronic medical records. The position starts out as 3 months with possible extensions due to additional support needed for the hospital network. This is a fast moving opening with interviews/offers taking place this week and next!

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
