Job Title - Patient Account Manager

Job Location - Cumming, GA

Job type- Full time

Summary
Manages all functions of the billing office pertaining to verification of insurance and registration of all patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitors effectiveness of collection efforts and maintains insurance billings are current within the established time frame specified in the department policy.
• Compiles and prepares various status reports for management in order to analyze trends and make recommendations.
• Create a cross functional training manual for revenue cycle staff and other departments that incorporates, as well as, aligns the company's strategy and culture of Certainty and Operational excellence.
• Performance counseling staff with behavioral/attitudinal problems. Implements the necessary guidelines on discipline management for erring employees, in accordance with company policies, rules and regulations, due process, and government regulations.
• Enforces all policies and procedures of the CBO.
• Maintains patient confidentiality according to HIPPA guidelines. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Two years of healthcare or customer service experience required.

Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business or related area or equivalent education, training and/or experience required.

Knowledge of ICD- 10 , CPT, HCPCS and the use of modifiers preferred. Familiar with CMS 1500 /UB04 claim forms
Knowledge of physician billing and/or collections.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $51,092.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Cumming, GA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Medical billing: 5 years (Required)
• Insurance verification: 2 years (Required)
