Overview

The primary role of the Dental Biller is to work side by side with our Insurance coordinator to assist on patient accounts & insurance dealings in a way that enables patients to have a first-rate experience at Smile Squad, while collecting at an ideal level (95%) and within an acceptable period (<90 Days) for all work completed on patients with insurance. Our busy dental practice will keep you on your toes while providing a rewarding and exciting career.

Responsibilities

• Check insurance benefits for patients prior to their appointment

• Send pre-authorization claims to insurances to ensure coverage

• Review claims for accuracy prior to submission

• Trace unpaid dental claims

• Posting insurance payments

• Enter contracts into our system

• Run monthly Auto-payments and follow-up with non-payments

• Accurately determine Co-pays

• Monitor Pedo A/R & Ortho A/R

• Help with Front Desk as needed

• Detail oriented as it will be a crucial quality to succeed in this position

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Willing to get COVID-19 vaccine

• Ability to commute to 2 locations

• Experience in a dental office preferred but not necessary

• Fluent in Spanish preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
