Job description
Coastal Pediatric Associates is looking for customer service minded individuals to provide professional and efficient care to our patients and visitors in our James Island office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Uses effective and professional communication skills with patients and staff
- Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone and thanking them for choosing CPA as their medical home
- Cross covers the communications team, as needed to maintain excellent level of service for the patients/visitors
- Assists in rooming patients and documentation as needed to maintain successful flow preventing long wait times
- Effectively communicates with patients and visitors about any expected delays
- Engages patients and visitors by offering concierge services per protocol, maintaining orderly, clean reception, and waiting areas
- Responsible for counting Petty Cash Box daily along with preparing and completing end of day closing of money collected
- Contributes to team service efforts, including TOS collections and care goals, by accomplishing set goals

Qualifications:
- Willingness to work in Mount Pleasant, West Ashley, James Island, and Summerville offices as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior medical practice experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of computer applications. Prior experience with EMR preferred.
- Ability to speak, read and write effectively.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines, in a detail-oriented manner.
- Ability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

The ability to lift, lower, push, pull and retrieve objects weighing a minimum 5 lbs. frequently.

- Indoor, temperature controlled, smoke free environment. Occasional outdoor exposure.
- Exposure or potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids may be required.
