Paving Foreman

General Description:
We are seeking a motivated, high energy paving Foreman for our Houston operations. The candidate must have at least 10 years’ experience in concrete slipform and Hand form operations. He will be responsible for overseeing all finishing operations behind the paver, making sure all hand form areas are done on time and within budget and enforcing all our quality, safety, and environmental policies.

Essential Job Functions:
o Coordinates and oversees paving operations behind the paving machine.
o Must have supervisory skills handling crews ranging from 6-14 people.
o Minimal math skills to calculate surface areas of work.
o Must maintain high quality workmanship.
o Able to work weekends when needed
o Must be able to pass an MVR
o Perform daily safety hazardous recognition.
o Support our safety and environmental programs.
o Must be capable and proficient interacting with management.
o Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
o Can problem solve and think on his / her feet when time sensitive issues present themselves.
o Minimal computer skills are required, be able to operate an IPAD for time and equipment inputs.
o Responds productively to change and performs all other related tasks as required and as directed.
o Continuous outdoor work in the seasonal elements.
o Continuous exposure and proximity to heavy equipment.

Physical Skills:
o Continuous use of both hands and feet with dexterity
o Frequent sitting, standing, walking, including over uneven or soft surfaces.
o Ability to perform manual laboring tasks under adverse weather conditions.
o Ability to lift the weight required by company policy for new hires.
o Must be able to pass a drug and physical test as required by company policy.
