The Opportunity – Payroll Operations Specialist (Remote - USA)

We are currently seeking a Payroll Operations Specialist to join our team, reporting to the Senior Director of Payroll Tax & Operations.

What you'll Do:

• Understanding of and ability to manually perform payroll calculations
• Work directly with clients to triage and troubleshoot US payroll issues and concerns
• Stay up to date with US payroll industry changes
• Build strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers and 3rd party vendors
• Independently research issues as they arise and suggest solutions and conclusions as needed
• Have a working knowledge of US payroll rules, taxation and quarterly filings
• Able to perform banking tasks to include, day to day reconciliations, direct deposit research, live checks, reversals, stop payments, etc.
• Process New Hire reporting and garnishment payments
• Help create and document the end to end payroll process as well as institute efficiencies
• Assist with US quarter end and year end reconciliations as needed
• Assist with other US payroll tasks as needed

What you'll Have:

• 3+ years US payroll experience in a multi-state payroll administration role required
• Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate issues that are complex in nature, both verbally and in writing, through various mediums
• Experience collaborating with clients and departments to identify needs, prioritize requests, and build effective relationships using tact and diplomacy
• Hands on experience in Benefits and 401K taxation and reporting
• Previous payroll provider experience required
