Job description
LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a high-volume steel company to find a payroll processor to join their team. This opportunity is a fully remote, contract opportunity. The ideal candidate would have SAP experience, 1-2 years of payroll experience, and have multi-state payroll experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Payroll System for 1,200 employees (on a bi-weekly pay schedule)
- Data entry
- Processing payroll reports, deductions, changes in pay rates and benefits
- Onboarding new employees
- Assist with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual muti- jurisdictional, multi state payroll tax filings including year end W-2’s and W-3’s
- Reporting attendance due to payroll requirements (everything is timesheet driven)
- Tracking employee time off
- Handle Disputes with employees
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or any related field (Required)
Skills:
- Must know how to work a payroll grid and apply hours accurately
- Great Communication skills
- Intermediate typing and computer skills
- Mathematical skills for accurate data entry and record keeping
- Customer Service Skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Software:
- Proficient with SAP and Kronos software
- Microsoft Office Suite
Experience:
- A minimum of 1- years in a payroll with multi-state experience
Compensation: $20-25 per hour
Employment Type: Contract (6 months)
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, Fully Remote
Work Hours; Monday-Friday 8am-5pm EST
