Red Coats Inc., a large janitorial service provider is seeking a Payroll Specialist for its headquarters located in downtown Bethesda, MD.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Process bi-weekly payroll for 3,500 employees

· Full understanding of federal and state tax calculations

· Prepare and submit manual payroll checks and direct deposits

· Voiding and reversing issued checks

· Collect banking information for direct deposit setup

· Maintain and document all payroll records

· Reconcile and prepare Union deduction payments

· Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns

Required Skills:

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present confidently and effectively

· Proficiency in Data Entry Skills

· Advanced user of Microsoft Office particularly in Excel

· MUST have experience processing in-house payroll

· Knowledge of Lawson software is a PLUS

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll processing

· Expert at attention to detail with strong analytical and organization skills

· A proven ability to be decisive, resolve issues, and deliver on commitments and deadlines

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining strict confidentially as appropriate

· Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in an environment of multiple

responsibilities

· Able to independently problem-solve and make decisions
