Venteon Finance is hiring a PAYROLL SPECIALIST to work in Novi, MI. Come and join a health and rehabilitation group truly dedicated to providing the best individual patient care possible !

You will support the group by ensuring the team members are compensated timely and accurately. Assist the company in moving to a shared services work environment (processing payroll in one place for multiple locations).

POSITION TYPE: Long term Contract work. Full time. On-Site M-F. Salary: $ 24.00 - $ 26.00 per hour

Requirements of the Payroll Specialist

• High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate Degree nice to have.
• Candidates will need at least 3-5 years previous payroll experience working in a mid to large size company.
• High volume: Assist in paying over 2,000 employees bi-weekly. Multistate, both union and non-union payrolls.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience using payroll software from outside vendors (ADP, Paychex, DM Payroll, etc.) is required. PAYCOR skills highly desired.
• Person who likes working with numbers, pays strong attention to detail. Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Mandatory: working knowledge of wage and hour laws and current tax laws. Experience performing standard payroll audit process ensuring that payroll was processed accurately.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Duties of the Payroll Specialist

• Assist in processing payroll for 2000 employees in multiple locations
• Processing, auditing, and submitting both union and non-union Payrolls bi- weekly to payroll provider.
• Provide direct support for employee questions for onsite and offsite locations.
• Work with Finance to align workflow for efficient processing of Payroll
• Process adjustments and returned backing items from Payroll vendor.
• Take care of pay adjustments and manual checks when required.
• Maintain PTO tracking programs.
• Auditing processed payrolls for accuracy including wages, OT pay, benefits, 401k, union withholdings, and all employee deductions. Provide audit report and make any corrections needed.
• Serve as back up for Payroll in certain cases.
