Full-Time Dental Assistant for Pediatric Dental Practice

Dentistry for Children (Creve Coeur) is looking for an amazing individual to join our incredible dental team as a full-time dental assistant. We LOVE kids and in order to apply, you must as well! This position is full time and will serve our Creve Coeur location.

The ideal candidate loves kids and is professional, friendly, detail-oriented, responsible and a team player. Experience in a dental setting is strongly preferred, however, we are willing to train the ideal candidate!

Requirements:

· A friendly, positive demeanor with patients, parents and office team members

· Outstanding written & verbal communication skills

· A thorough knowledge of dentistry and/or willingness to learn

· Strong computer skills; preferably knowledge of Curve

· Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm and a few Saturdays, 8am to Noon

Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

· Greeting patients and parents with a warm and welcoming smile

· Instructing patients and parents on good oral hygiene

· Prophying teeth, taking x-rays, applying fluoride

· Applying sealants

· Assisting doctor clinically and monitoring patients on nitrous oxide

· Assisting with special needs patients

· Entering treatment plans per doctor’s exam

· Checking charts and ensuring procedures are ‘set complete’ properly in ledger

· Having a complete knowledge of tray set up for each doctor

· Collecting and reading health updates

· Copying and documenting all referrals

· Walking patients and parents to the front desk and explaining the treatment that was provided that day and the treatment that is needed in the future

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
