Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health provides services for children and families. Based out of Orlando, FL, this position is responsible for:

• Working alongside mental health professionals in Mobile Crisis Team and collaborating on client care.
• engaging the individual and family in the assessment process as well as providing support and psychoeducation for the family on navigating the mental health system.
• using unique, life-altering experiences in order to guide and support others who are in some form of recovery.
• referring to individuals recovering from addiction, mental health disorders or abuse.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or higher preferred
• One year experience as a consumer, consumer relative, adoptive, foster, and/or biological parent to a child with a behavioral health disorder. required

Schedule:

• Must be able to complete a Three-Day new hire orientation; hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Orientations are offered in Orlando, FL and Titusville, FL.
• Position is not office-based, however, this position will be working directly with families in the community, including in homes, schools, and other community locations.

Other Requirements:

• Valid Florida Driver's License
• Previous experience working as a Peer Specialist, Family Partner, or Personal experience with your own children in the Mental Health System. Preferred
• Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test, TB Test and Influenza Vaccine
• Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
