Summary/Responsibilities:

To fulfill all personal trainer responsibilities and requirements and to personally assist residents by conducting senior fitness tests and assessments, planning and implementing customized programs.

Orient residents and staff members on use of equipment

Set up training program using HUR software

Instruct group exercise classes as assigned

Consult supervisor with any changes in residents’ condition

Assist in planning programs, special events, classes, presentations

Keep supervisor informed of any special situations

Assist with guarding swimming pool as needed

Other duties as assigned

Responsible to use computers and software as required by work
environment in order to enhance communications, performance and knowledge. Responsible to learn and use Balance Gym and related software, and other assessment tools used within the work environment.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma required, college degree preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current AFAA, ACE, NASM or ACSM personal training certification required. Group exercise certification preferred. CPR-AED certification required. Minimum 2 years’ experience in personal training and with older adults required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working in state of the art Fitness Center. Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds is required.

HAZARDS:
Chemicals for pool on premises.
