Nearly every pharmacy is a horrendous experience; waiting in lines, trying to understand the prescription process, getting the correct copay information, and coordinating with doctors. Essential Functions:

• Supports efforts on enhancing customer experience by increasing focus on healthcare services
• Coordinate, plan, and facilitate vaccine clinics at local facilities and businesses
• Administer vaccinations in store
• Manage perpetual/automated inventory and resolve any issues with inventory upkeep
• Implement and oversee new clinical services in collaboration with owner
• Verify prescriptions and help throughout workflow as needed
• Ensure the accurate processing of insurance claims to resolve customer issues and prevent payment rejections
• Manage employees and foster a team oriented environment; make sure employees are productive and understand the roles expected of them
• Troubleshoot Pharmacy software and technological issues
• Optimize the use and efficiency of pharmacy software system
• Propose and implement enhancements to pharmacy systems to further promote productivity
• Assist Owner with establishing procedures that promotes the efficient workflow of the pharmacy including assigning roles, coordinating activities and soliciting employee suggestions
• Review KPIs and goals with owner regularly
• Assist owner with staff hiring and training
• Maintain awareness of developments in retail and management and pursue best practices that would enhance pharmacy performance
• Seek professional development by monitoring one’s performance and solicit for constructive feedback
• Follow-up with medical providers’ offices to clarify prescribed medications, dosages, refills, interactions and allergies to suggest alternative medications, and answer medical provider questions
• Follow-up with insurance companies as well as medical providers and participate in 3rd party audits
• Develop and maintain good relationships with local medical community including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers

License/Certifications: Active NC BOP License in good standing; Immunization Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
