About the Job:

Under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Tech assists the Physical Therapists in delivery of physical therapy care. The Physical Therapy Tech performs a variety of non-clinical support activities, including routine therapeutic treatments by physical or mechanical methods.

What will you be doing?

• Work hand in hand with the physical therapists in the care of patients. Communicate all concerns with the therapist timely. Relay any patient concerns to the treating therapist at the start of the visit.
• Assist the physical therapists in the care of patients that are apart of our aquatic program. Candidate should be comfortable in and around water.
• Under direct supervision of the therapist, guide patients through exercises making sure all patients are being safe and performing exercises properly to avoid injury.
• Document patient exercises on exercise log as they are completed with appropriate timing and reports.
• Clean and organize gym area after each patient completes visit, disinfecting and returning equipment to designated area. Change all table linens and complete laundry, as needed
• Keep gym and office clean and neat following designated cleaning schedule.
• Submit supply and equipment order to the owner, pre-planning for supplies needed.
• Assist the front office staff, as needed, in answers phones, scheduling patients and collecting co-payments.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED, Required.
• 6 months of experience in Physical Therapy, Preferred
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, grammar, and word-processing software, Preferred
• We are looking for someone who has an interest in physical therapy and wants to help others along their journey to recovery, Required

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
