Orthopedic Sports Medicine Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Opportunity at MedStar Lafayette Centre in Washington, D.C.

We are looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgery team at our MedStar Lafayette Centre in D.C. At Lafayette Centre, we bring the largest sports medicine program in the region together in one place, where a wide variety of specialists can collaborate to provide the best acute and chronic care. At this location, we treat professional athletes that get injured, as they look to the top experts to get them back in the game quickly and safely. We have amassed the largest professional portfolio in the country, providing care to the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, and Washington Mystics, among other teams.
In this position, this provider will be assisting Dr. Douoguih at the Lafayette Orthopedic clinic, as well as support the practice as a whole. They will be spending most of their time in the outpatient clinic and a short amount of time assisting surgery in the inpatient setting at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
The schedule would be Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week depending on clinic/OR time. No call, weekends or holidays. Shifts typically run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., depending on whether they are in the clinic or OR.
The ideal candidate will have ortho experience and/or be comfortable in the OR setting but new grads may apply!
Nurse Practitioners will require first assist certification.

- Education/Training: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Knowledge, Skills, andAbilities: Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
