THE POSITION:

Responsible for coordinating activities of SOSs, check tires, and SOPs, assures that the tires are built on time. Perform section analysis, scrap tire report, communication and deliver check tires, SOS, and SOP results to tire owners.

1. Maintains a close and positive working relationship with other areas and plant staff to obtain goals and objectives.
2. Attend shift OTOS meeting and support production on technical issues.
3. Certify, coordinate, and sign off on 8 tire start up:
3.1 Bytewise extruded components
3.2 Measure and document ext. components junctions
3.3 Release components and notify tire room for availability
3.4 Measure and document all components at tire building machine
3.5 Measure and document all tire building machine settings
3.6 Cut and buff tire sections
3.7 Perform cursory analysis
3.8 Evaluate results and make decision if tire meets sign off criteria
3.9 Coordinate QA's sign off
3.10 Perform complete section analysis
3.11 Discuss results with responsible PI tire engineer
4. Certify and coordinate check tires: repeat steps 3.1 through 3.6 and 3.10 and 3.11
5. Certify and coordinate weight check tire as needed
6. Perform miscellaneous data gathering., problem solving, quality audits, and analysis or testing and make corrective action recommendations to production
7. Certify and coordinate SOS build for QA Stop Hold tires before tire can be released to production again: Involves points 3.1 through 3.6, 3.10, 3.11 and follow up with QA to rerelease
8. Support and assist to production: work in coordination with superintendent during off shifts to support nn 8 tires start ups as workload allows it and support other scrap oriented activities and initiatives
9. Completes documentation and reporting via email, and various computer applications, such as excel spreadsheets (daily scrap report), etc.

Basic Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED plus 3-5 year manufacturing experience

Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Requirements:

Associate's Degree
